If you want Church, there are still a few that have not been closed down. If you want to be on Church Street, & feel renewed by good food while surrounded by inspiring & simple decor, Green Chile Kitchen-ette is a place that will leave both appetites well nourished.
Let me tell you, their newest addition to the menu, the cakes, are a religious experience. It’s almost a sin to be the first one to buy a slice. The cakes are beautiful, something that would give artist Wayne Theibaud a run for his brushes. They are as wonderful to eat as they are to look at—’tis a total experience for the senses, visual, taste buds, tummy filling, and the texture–art you are allowed to eat.
The owner, Trevor Logan, has wisely chosen to keep with the Southwest New Mexico art influences in terms of extending the decorating influences one experiences @ the McAllister Street location, the Mother Church.
